Microfibre is a particularly dense man-made weave, and is typically resistsant to abrasion and staining, with the look of suede or leather. However, microfibre is neither impervious to stains or indestructible - therefore some good care is needed! Don't use too much water when cleaning microfibre as you will often end up with water rings on the surface, making it look worse than pre-cleaning.

Rubbing alcohol can be used in small quanities as microfibre is polyester-based, with rubbing using a soft-scrubbing brush afterwards to prevent the surface becoming hard and uncomfortable once dry. You can usually see good results from this process, and you'll keep your furniture piece soft and fluffy for many years to come.
