Due to Vanguard's special formulation, it can be applied over dark wood floors with no visible appearance. It has no rafting or orange peel qualities. If you require an unfinished look with high wear resistance this is one of the best lacquers available today. It is non-yellowing and easy to maintain. It is also made of sustainable raw materials that have a minimum environmental impact. It is also water-based, so your applicator/tray can be easily cleaned in water.
This is a great lacquer to refurbish a Lacquered, Hardened Oil or UV Oiled floor. You will need to deep clean your floor first with Deep Clean Polish Remover and then gently abrade the surface of the floor with either a purple mesh pad or fine sandpaper. This will create the key for the lacquer to bond to. The lacquer is easy to apply and is self-leveling. Repeat the process of abrading if you wish to apply a second coat. Please note that you should always try a small area for adhesion
purposes before applying a new finish to an existing floor.
