This piece from the brand new Arlo collection is machine knitted in China from 100% Microfibre polyester, featuring bold geometric patterns in contrasting colour combinations. A contemporary design great for making a strong interior statement at the same time bringing comfort to your floor space with the soft weave.
Microfiber is made from synthetic materials like nylon and polyester polymers. They are tiny fibres which are less than 1 denier thick (This is smaller than the diameter of a strand of silk). Due to the tight woven nature of microfiber they naturally repel stains and water, making maintenance a lot easier than most natural fibres. Mats and rugs made of Microfiber are light weight yet very strong and exceptionally comfortable as well as smooth. They are also inexpensive and breathable. The downside of microfiber is its prevalence for static cling as static can be a problem in the drier, colder winter months. The rugs also have a tendency to attract lint, dust as well as hair therefore need to be vacuumed regularly.
