Jacaranda Carpet's Rajgarh range is a comfortable twist pile carpet made from a blend of 60% soft viscose and 40% wool, and can be found in 14 stoney colours (in 4m and 5m widths). This collection shows the best of a clever fibre blend, and is suitable for heavy use domestic settings. With an approximate thickness of 13mm and a gross pile weight of 3200g/m2, this carpet is perfect for homes that need a touch of softness.
Viscose is a natural fibre derived from wood pulp and contains cellulose. It is a non-static material and an excellent alternative to silk. Although Viscose has the shiny silk-like texture, it is very delicate as the cellulose fibre breaks down in the presence of water. Therefore it is important to ensure that it isn’t used in a high traffic flow area due to its delicate nature, or where there is a risk of staining through unfortunate spills. Viscose rugs are softer and more comfortable than most other fabrics, and have a natural lustre that adds a luxurious touch to any interior. With proper care they will provide truly stunning, time-wearing designs that stand out.
Wool is an excellent choice for rugs and carpets; sustainable, strong, hard-wearing, crush-resistant and abrasion-resistant. It is also naturally flame resistant – it smoulders and extinguishes itself instead of burning. Wool is highly resilient to dirt particles and is water resistant. It is an excellent insulator and has one of the highest insulation to weight ratios of any natural or man-made fibre. Wool responds very well to cleaning. This traditional fibre is a great choice for all kinds of floor covers for long term use and will stand the test of time.
